Even just 5 years ago there was still 4 or 5 tires available and now it's down to the Bridgestones, with no guarantees on how many will be made or future availability. 245/45 was only used on a handful of cars and they're all 20-30 years old now. A small market at best, especially given 16" wheels are equally out of date for anything remotely sporty and unlikely to make a come back. Anyway, there is any kind of tire you could want in 245/50/16 but the large sidewall increase won't be beneficial for handling nor does it look very good. The 265/45 isn't much better and is also single tire only. I do believe it is time to go shopping for wheels. Plenty of decent 17" wheels out there for reasonable price.
